Diamond Springs Parkway Phase 1B Now Under Construction — Connecting Our Site Directly to Highway 50

In July 2025, El Dorado County's Department of Transportation broke ground on Phase 1B of the Diamond Springs Parkway — a new four-lane arterial road that will run directly from Missouri Flat Road to State Route 49, with signalized intersections at Missouri Flat Road, Throwita Way, and Highway 49. Construction is scheduled to continue through December 2026.

This is infrastructure that directly benefits Piedmont Oak Estates. Phase 1B connects our project site at the Highway 49 / Diamond Parkway intersection to Highway 50 — and from there, to Sacramento just three miles away. It's the last piece of a multi-phase county infrastructure investment that has been underway since 2018 and represents tens of millions of dollars in public road construction.

Phase 1B of the Diamond Springs Parkway — a new four-lane road connecting the Piedmont Oak site to Highway 50 and Sacramento — began construction in July 2025 and runs through December 2026.

Phase 1A, which widened and realigned Highway 49 from Pleasant Valley Road to Bradley Drive to four lanes with full curb, gutter, and sidewalk improvements, was completed in February 2022. Phase 1B now extends that corridor the final stretch to Missouri Flat Road and Highway 50.

WHY INFRASTRUCTURE MATTERS FOR LAND VALUE

County-funded road infrastructure is one of the clearest signals of an area's long-term development trajectory. When a county commits tens of millions of public dollars to connecting a corridor to a regional highway, it's a statement about where growth is expected to occur.

For buyers and builders evaluating Piedmont Oak Estates, the Diamond Springs Parkway removes one of the common concerns about foothill development: accessibility. By late 2026, residents and businesses at this site will have seamless four-lane access to Highway 50 and Sacramento — without navigating the historic congestion through Diamond Springs.

The county built the road. The entitlements are in hand. The site is ready.
